Make your team blockers visible

Flag a blocker in Slack or your AI assistant. Destato assigns an owner, tracks how long it's been sitting, and keeps your team posted until it's closed.

We'll email a link to finish setting up your workspace. Free during the beta.

Use your existing tools

No new habit to build. People report blockers from the tools they're already in, and everything lands in one place.

Slack

Report with @Destato or /destato, get team briefs, and hear the moment you're unblocked.

Flagged in a DM nobody else saw

Every blocker lands in one list

Slack, Claude, the web app, or the API. Wherever it's reported, it's tracked in the same place.

Nobody knew it was theirs

Someone owns it from minute one

Each team has a default responder, so a new blocker always has a name on it until a real owner steps in.

Sat for three days in silence

The clock keeps people honest

Aging and delayed flags send reminders to the right people until it's closed. No chasing by hand.

WHY I BUILT THIS

“As an engineering manager and a staff engineer, I saw too many projects stall because tiny blockers fell through the cracks. Destato is the tool I wanted then; it makes sure people can get back to the real work.”

Questions

Something else? Get in touch

What counts as a blocker?

Something urgent that stops work and needs someone else to act. An access request, a decision, another team's fix. Ticket dependencies only become blockers when a deadline is at risk.

We already use Jira. Why do we need this?

Most blockers never get a ticket. They live in Slack threads, DMs, and standup notes. Destato gives each one an owner and keeps it visible until it's closed. Jira linking is coming soon.

Do we have to learn another tool?

No. Your team mentions @Destato in Slack and it files the blocker, tags who's affected, and routes it for an owner. Reminders and briefs arrive in Slack and email, so most people never open the web app.

Who owns a blocker?

Every team has a responder. New blockers go to them for triage until a specific owner is assigned, so nothing sits unclaimed.

What happens to blockers nobody follows up on?

They get flagged as aging, then delayed, and stay in Slack and email briefs until someone acts. If a blocker goes quiet, Destato asks if it's still a problem and closes it if nobody confirms.

What does it cost?

Destato is free during the beta. After that, it moves to simple per-seat pricing.
